QR Code Generator
QR codes for links, text and Wi-Fi, as SVG or PNG.
About this tool
Make a QR code for a link, any text, or a Wi-Fi network so guests can join by scanning. Pick the error correction level and colours, and download it as a sharp SVG or a PNG.
How to use it
- Choose Link or text, or Wi-Fi.
- Enter the URL or text, or the network name, security type and password.
- Pick the error correction level and colours.
- Download the code as SVG for print or PNG for screens and documents.
Questions
- Which error correction level should I use?
- M (15%) is a good default. Choose Q or H if the code will be printed small, may get damaged, or will have a logo placed over it. Higher levels make the code denser.
- How does the Wi-Fi QR code work?
- It encodes the network name, security type and password in a standard format. Most phone cameras offer to join the network when they scan it, without typing the password.
- Do the QR codes expire?
- No. The content is stored in the code itself, with no redirect service in between, so it works as long as the link or network does.
- Can I use custom colours?
- Yes, but keep dark dots on a light background with strong contrast. Inverted or low-contrast codes fail on many scanners; the tool warns you when contrast is low.
